For the first time since I started this blog, I’ve gone a month without posting anything. I’m going through a dry spell, I guess.
But I have had one thought kicking around in my head for a few days now, that I need to share:
Dare to dream, but don’t dream too much. It only limits what God has planned for you.
We often make plans and dream about all the things we are going to do in our future. There is nothing wrong with that, but we should not be so obsessed with following our own dreams that we fail to see what God has in store for us.
Now listen, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.” Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.” — James 4:13-15
If our future is in the Lord’s hands, how can we go wrong?
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. — Jeremiah 29:11
Good things will come if we trust in the Lord, especially in the difficult times.
